Jewelry Care and Materials

Jewelry Care and Materials

At Native Treasure, our pieces are handcrafted in the Philippines using natural, coastal materials inspired by island life. Because many of our designs feature organic elements, each necklace may vary slightly in color, texture, and pattern — making every piece uniquely yours.

Materials We Use

Natural Shell and Clam Heishi

Many of our necklaces feature genuine shell and clam heishi beads. These natural materials may show subtle variations in tone and shape. This is not a flaw — it is part of their authentic character.

Coconut Beads

Some designs include plant-based coconut beads. These beads are lightweight, durable, and naturally textured, giving each piece a relaxed island look.

Kukui Nuts and Wood

Our kukui and wood bead styles highlight traditional island craftsmanship. Because they are natural materials, slight differences in shade and grain are normal.

Stainless Steel Cable and Clasps

Our necklaces are strung on durable stainless steel cable for strength and longevity. We use secure barrel clasps designed for everyday wear.

Care Tips

To keep your necklace looking its best:

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to saltwater, chlorine, and harsh chemicals.

  • Remove before showering or swimming.

  • Store in a dry place when not in use.

  • Wipe gently with a soft cloth after wearing.

Natural materials may age slightly over time, developing a deeper tone — this is part of their character.

Handmade in Small Batches

Every Native Treasure piece is assembled by hand in small batches. Natural variations are normal and are part of what makes handmade jewelry special.
